The Red River Fly Fishers and TX Council have been invited by TPWD to setup and do a fly fishing/fly tying demonstration at the 2013 Greenfest on The Greenbelt at lake Ray Roberts on September 28th.
Greg with Red River has asked if we could provide some assistance with casting and tying demos as well as having a table to talk to folks about our clubs and the council.
Organized by the Greenbelt Alliance of Denton County, together with Texas Parks and Wildlife, the City of Denton, and the US Army Corps of Engineers, this fundraising event will be held Sept. 28, 2013, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Greenbelt access off Highway 455 below the dam. Proceeds will go toward reopening the equestrian trail between Highways 428 and 455, and installation of a wetland viewing deck and trail, if approved by the USACE, and support of the Greenbelt Alliance – a non-profit organization dedicated to stewardship of the Lewisville/Ray Roberts Greenbelt.
This will be a great opportunity to introduce a lot of folks to fly fishing.
If anyone is interested in helping please contact Greg at 903-744-3324 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
I will be participating in and presenting at an event on Grapevine that day so I will not be available.
Thanks in advance,
