Poaching is a growing problem, but it is one you can help prevent. Here in Texas, if you see anything suspicious, call Operation Game Theft.
http://tpwd.texas.gov/warden/connect/ogt.
Texans are also very known for going out of state to pursue other fishing and hunting expeditions, so who should you call if out of state? Then report any crimes against wildlife at:
http://wildlifecrimestoppers.org/.
There you will find a map which will link you to most fish and wildlife enforcement agencies in the U.S. or Canada. Reports can be confidential and you may receive a reward. Information you provide can lead to an arrest, fines, and possible jail time.

What should we be on the lookout for:
Hunting or fishing out of season or without a license
Night hunting
Hunting or fishing on private land without permission
Exceeding bag and or length limits
Selling wildlife or fish illegally
Hunting or fishing in manners hazardous to the public, while intoxicated
Using illegal hunting or fishing devices or baits

Help protect our resources and do what’s right!!!

OR you can also TEXT the game wardens if you are near the poacher and can’t verbally call and explain. You can even drop a pin to give them your location. Text to 847411, begin the message with tpwd and them give them your report, the description of your location if you don’t drop a pin, who you see and what you see. Check out this video for details. Video about OGT and how to help:
